Instructions

Almond Pecan Cookie Recipe from Scratch

Mix in the following order:
1-1/2 cups white sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup pecan pieces

Roll into 1" balls
Flatten and add an almond to each cookie
Press with lemon half dipped in egg wash
Cook 18 minutes at 325 degrees
