Chopped Steak With Mushrooms And Onions

Form ground meat into two 8 ounce patties. Season well with salt and pepper and in a hot skillet with 1 TSP olive oil, sear ground meat to desired temperature. Once meat is cooked set aside, and in the same pan add in onions and mushrooms and caramelize. Once the vegetables are nice and golden brown, deglaze with cabernet and cook until almost gone. Next add in beef stock and thyme and reduce the amount of liquid in half by cooking on high heat. Finish the sauce with butter and salt and pepper and pour over ground meat patties. Serve hot and enjoy!
