Homemade Sticky Rice Cakes
Instructions
Mix rice powder, salt and water.
2.Place the rice powder mix (from Step 1) over a (bamboo) steamer. TIP: When you are steaming, place the food after the water has reached the boiling point.
3.Steam the rice mix over medium heat for 30 to 40 minutes. TIP: Placing a cloth over the steamer helps absorb excess moisture formed under the lid.
4.Knead the rice cake dough- Keep punching, spreading and folding it for good 10 minutes. See my knuckles in the dough?
5.Shape it to whatever your use. You can make ttukbokki, rice cake soup, etc.
