Matzah (unleavened Bread)
Instructions
In this episode, I make Matzah, which is unleavened bread and possibly even better known as Communion Bread. I make Matzah almost every week for our congregation. It is very easy to make (takes all of about 20 minutes) and tastes much better than those pre-packaged burnt crackers that you get at your supermarket. I encourage y'all to give this a shot one day for your congregation. This recipe makes enough for about 20-25 GENEROUS portions, which given the small amount most people take for communion would probably yield enough for about 50 or so.
Here are the ingredients:
2 Cups of All-Purpose Flour (NOT self-rising)
3/4 Cup of Water
1-2 Tbs of Olive Oil*
*Or even 1/2Tbs will work. Less oil will make it crisper (more cracker-like) and more oil will make it softer more bread-like. I use 2 Tbs because that is what our group likes, but you can do whatever your group likes.
