Meringue Bones
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 194F (90C).
Pour the egg whites into a bowl together with a pinch of salt; beat them until very stiff with an electric mixer, after that add the powdered sugar one tablespoon at a time, and the vanilla powder.
Stir delicately to blend all the ingredients, then pour the mixture into a pastry bag fit with a smooth, medium-sized nozzle (what you see in the picture is a plastic disposable pastry bag).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then proceed to form the bones shaping them with the smooth nozzle, as shown in the picture.
Bake them in preheated oven at 194F (90C) for about 2 hours, then turn off the oven and let the meringues cool down inside for 2 hours more, leaving it ajar.
