Sausage Calzones Recipe - Italian Food
Instructions:
Heat 1 cup water to 110 degrees
Add 1 tablespoon sugar
1 package yeast (.25 oz.)
Wait at least 10 minutes until foamy
In mixing bowl combine:
2.5 cups bread flour
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
Mix and then knead 5 minutes
Cover in coated bowl for 1 hour
Brown Italian sausage links, let cool and slice
Split dough into 3 pieces and roll into circles
Stir on pizza sauce, grated mozzarella, sausage, sliced shallot, sweet peppers and fresh mozzarella
Bake 13-15 minutes 500 degree oven on coated or non-stick baking pan
