Betty's Bountiful Baked Easter Ham
Instructions
Although this is a fully baked ham, it is important to read the instructions for heating it. Make slight adaptations, to fit your needs. For example, remove the bone before baking, if desired and/or cut the ham into pieces in order for it to fit into a roasting pan. Remove the ham from its wrapping and place it in a roasting pan, along with its juices. Cover the top of the pan with aluminum foil to hold the moisture in, if the lid will not fit tightly over the pan. Bake the ham in a 325 degree (F) oven for 3 hours (slightly more than the instructions suggest), and as the ham shrinks a bit, remove the aluminum foil and place the lid on the roasting pan. When the ham is hot all of the way through and beginning to brown a bit on the outside, remove the ham from the oven, and place it on large serving platter. Use a carving knife to slice the ham into generous slices, cutting carefully around the bone, in order to keep the slices looking nice. Serve immediately with your Easter meal. This ham is juicy, tangy, and delicious! Enjoy!!! --Betty
