Here's a showstopper for you - the amazing and impressive Cheddar Crown Loaf. I use a KitchenAid mixer fitted with the dough hook to make this crown of 32 dinner rolls but of course you can mix and knead it by hand as well. It is perfect for a dinner party, family gathering or picnic, or just because ya want it! Enjoy!
Cheddar Crown Loaf
1-3/4 cups milk
1/2 cup water
3 Tbsp butter
6-1/2 to 7-1/2 cups flour
2 Tbsp sugar
4-1/2 tsp active dry yeast
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
2 Tbsp butter, melted
* you can optionally sprinkle with 1/4 tsp caraway seeds if you'd like (half on each layer)
