Chips And Cheese
Instructions
Preparation: Note: This article assumes you have all ingredients already on hand. If not, be sure to put them on your list for your next grocery store visit!
Whether you want to use corn chips, potato chips, sunflower chips, or other kind of chips, it really doesn't matter, it's according to your taste.
Likewise with the kind of cheese you want to use; it doesn't matter much. I prefer to use real cheese, rather than some of the processed or liquid kinds.
Setup:
On a large, microwave-safe plate, arrange a layer of chips to cover the plate area. Sprinkle some cheese on each chip segment. Next, arrange a second layer of chips atop the first layer. Sprinkle some more cheese as before. Arrange a third layer of chips atop the second layer. Sprinkle some more cheese.
Options:
It is important to note here that while you are arranging your layers of chips and cheese, you might want to consider mixing things up a little. In other words, try one layer of corn chips with shredded mozzarella cheese; one layer of sunflower chips with shredded cheddar cheese; one layer of potato chips with grated Swiss cheese. Or, experiment yourself with other arrangements.
Microwaving:
Place your chips 'n' cheese plate into your microwave oven; heat on high power for 30-40 seconds.
Note: microwave ovens vary by manufacturer and size, so you might need to experiment some with the timing.
The melted temptation:
As the cheese melts in the microwave, the individual layers will virtually bond the entire stack of chips together in a delectable hunk of chips 'n' cheese that will tantalize most any palate!
The reward:
Remove the plate of chips 'n' cheese from the microwave, allow to cool just a little, and begin enjoying your creation! You will likely have to break the stack apart, since the layers of cheeses will tend to hold it all together.
