Italian Easter Bread

Instructions

1. In a bowl, add dry yeast, sugar and water. Let sit for 10 minutes.
2. In another bowl, add 3 eggs, lemon zest, oil, sugar, salt, pure anise extract, lemon extract. Whisk well.
3. Add the egg mixture to yeast mixture. Also add some milk, butter and flour, Stir well for 5 to 6 minutes.
4. Mold the dough in place in an oiled bowl. Cover the bowl and Let it rise for 12 hours.
5. Punch the dough and cut out in small lengthwise pieces and form in Italian Easter bread. Let it rise for 2 hours.
6. Put in a 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
7. Let it cool in a rack. Coat it with pink delicious icing and slice.
