Poached Pear Dessert

Instructions

1) In a sauce pan, combine 1 cup red wine, 1 cup water, 1 pc orange rind, a little nutmeg, 1 clove, and 1 Bosc pear with its base cut off. Heat for about 20 minutes.
2) In a serving bowl, add a dollop of greek yogurt and lay it out well on the bowl.
3) In another saucepan, heat 1 tbsp water and add 3/4 cup sugar. Whisk.
4) Add 1 tsp corn syrup on the dissolved sugar. Continue whisking.
5) Turn the heat off when the caramel turns brown.
6) Add heavy cream while continually whisking the mixture.
7) Drizzle the poached pear with your caramel sauce and sprinkle with some black walnuts.
