Toffee And Banana Self Saucing Pudding Recipe

Instructions

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Pudding:
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, egg and milk until a thick batter forms. Transfer batter into a 2 litre (8 cup) baking dish and smooth over until even.
Slice up bananas and arrange on top of pudding batter. Set aside.
Sauce:
Melt butter in microwave, add sugar and boiling water and stir until combined.
Pour sauce over the back of a spoon, on top of pudding. Place in oven and bake for 45 minutes, or until pudding springs back in the middle when lightly touched.
Allow pudding to stand for about 5 minutes after taking it out of the oven, as this will let the sauce thicken and cool slightly.
Serve by itself or with ice cream.
