Korean Food: Spicy Fried Squid ( )
Instructions
1. To prepare the squid, remove the guts and clean it, or just buy a squid that was already cleaned like I did. Cut the squid into bite sized pieces. (1 inch)
2. Cut half of a onion into half inch pieces. Cut of a carrot diagonally. Cut 2 green onions and 2 hot peppers into 1 inch pieces.
3. Combine the squid, onion, carrot, and half of the chopped green onions, saving the rest of the green onions for later. Add 2 Tbsp of red pepper paste, 1 Tbsp of red pepper powder, 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, 1 Tbsp of sugar, 2 Tbsp of minced garlic, 1 Tbsp of cooking wine, 1 tsp of sesame oil, tsp of sesame seeds, and 1 or 2 pinches of black pepper powder.
4. Mix all of the ingredients together. Cover it with plastic wrap and keep it in the refrigerator at least for 30 minutes before you cook it.
5. Once the pan is heated, pour the marinated squid into the pan.
6. When the squid is completely cooked, add hot peppers and the rest of the chopped green onions. Fry one more minute and turn off the heat.
7. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top to serve. Enjoy!
