Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix together eggs, sugar and syrup with warm melted butter. Set aside.
Place diced nuts in pie shell. Pour egg mixture over nuts. Sprinkle whole nuts on top. Bake for 45 minutes. Let cool for one hour.
