Sausage Hotpot
Instructions
Grill your sausages.
While you are waiting, prepare your vegetables, then:
Fry the onions, carrots and garlic until the onion starts to brown.
Add the tin of tomatoes and a splash of water, bring to the boil, then simmer for 5 minutes.
Add the baked beans, oxo cube, herbs, salt and pepper.
Allow to boil, then add a splash of milk. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
*The mixture needs to be quite watery as the sausages will be added once cooked*
When cooked, chop the sausages into bitesize chunks and add to the sauce. Stir them around a bit then pour them into a casserole dish.
Then place a layer of the thinly sliced potatoes on top of the mixture.
Put in the oven for 30 minutes, or until the potato is cooked.
Then sprinkle the grated cheese on top and bake for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is as brown as you like.
Serve with chunky garlic or tiger bread and butter.
